Xijia Lai
Xijia (Romee) Lai is a visual artist from China, currently based in Toronto, where she is in her third year studying Painting at OCAD University. Her work explores the intersection of faith and creativity, using art as a form of worship to express spiritual reflection, reverence, and devotion. Her recent works explore abstraction and spiritual symbolism, drawing on nature, scripture, and emotion to create visual meditations on faith and worship. Through her practice, Romee invites viewers into moments of stillness, awe, and divine encounter, offering art not only as a personal expression but as a sacred space of connection and transformation.
