Vanessa Iafolla
Vanessa Iafolla is an interdisciplinary artist and photographer. Her photographic practice is informed by her work as a qualitative research specialist and research consultant. Her artistic practice explores intimacy, privacy, and relationships. Her recent work, which culminated in a solo exhibition, "It Is What It Is", was made in response to the death of her brother, Tristan, in a car accident in Utah, in 2024. She holds a doctorate from the University of Toronto in Criminology and Sociolegal Studies, specializing in financial crime, and a Master of Counselling from Acadia University. Her first camera, which she was given at age 6 and still has, is a Polaroid Sun 600.
