Tania Love
Tania Love is a Toronto based artist. Her multi-disciplinary practice includes painting, drawing, site specific installations and wearable textiles.
Tania's work is informed by place, season, natural forms and cultural context. With a keen interest in materials, she creates tactile pieces that invite slower rhythms and relationship to natural cycles.
Her textile pieces are hand screen printed and painted with plant based inks and dyes that she prepares in small batches. Many of the dye plants are harvested locally such as black walnut and sumac.
Recipient of numerous grants, international residencies and exhibitions, her work has been seen from local surrounds to Europe, USA and Asia.
