Laura Krieger
Laura Krieger is a self-taught artist based in Toronto, ON. She began working with soft pastel in 2021 and in 2024, made the leap to pursue art full-time. Her work is a love letter to the Canadian landscape. Laura creates exclusively from her own experiences and reference photos, often capturing local landscapes and provincial parks. She is interested in the idea that the same place can be transformed by the quality of light at different times of day, with each season or in changing weather conditions. Her work is a call to action to slow down and notice the environment around you -- that there can be change and beauty right where you are, without having to go very far.
