Kristi McDonald is a Canadian oil painter from Komoka, Ontario, celebrated for her evocative renderings of coastal landscapes. A graduate of Brock University’s Visual Arts program, she has exhibited both locally and abroad, including multiple showings at The Artist Project (Toronto) and most recently at The Other Art Fair (Los Angeles). She has received the Thames Art Gallery Scholarship among other honors in multiple juried exhibitions.

Her artistic focus sharpened following a significant trip to California in 2017, leading her to specialize in coastal landscapes. These are portrayed through minimalist compositions that stir nostalgia and a sense of tranquility. In addition to her painting, Kristi organizes Every Day May, a yearly initiative encouraging artists to engage daily with their art, enhancing their commitment to the creative process.

Kristi's pieces are featured in private collections both in Canada and internationally. Her work thoughtfully examines the interplay between human emotions and the natural world, particularly how calm can exist amidst chaos. This exploration continues to inform her artistic expression, driving her to delve deeper into these themes through future projects.
