Jill's paintings explore human relationships in search of what holds us together. She likes to think of people as vessels of connection and shares moments that range from fractured to hopeful and inclusive.

Abstracted figures serve as a metaphor for the wider human condition. Jill breaks down boundaries between the figures, questioning and illuminating how they merge with one another and their environment. Experimental and intuitive in her approach, Jill paints in layers of mixed water media, using processes such as join, share, and equalize. She employs imagination, colour relationships, and symbolic elements to connect with her roots, her daily experiences, and, most importantly, the viewer.

Jill is happy to participate in TOAF for her fifth consecutive year. She is a New Zealand-Canadian artist, formally trained at the University of Auckland. She currently paints for exhibitions and galleries predominantly across Canada and the UK. Her paintings are held in private, corporate, and public collections worldwide. An award-winning artist, she participates in numerous artist residencies and has taught both in Canada and internationally. She is actively engaged in the Canadian Art Community.
