January 12 – February 20, 2009

FCP Gallery
100 King Street West
Toronto, Ontario
Monday to Friday, 11am-3pm

Toronto, ON – The BEST of 2008 exhibition brings together the work of the award winners from the 2008 Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition (TOAE), representing some of the most exciting work being produced today in contemporary fine art and craft. Fourty-five artists will show their latest work at the FCP Gallery from January 12 – February 20, 2009.

Every year since it’s inception in 1961, the TOAE assembles an esteemed roster of judges to award cash prizes and materials to artists who are outstanding in their field, including ceramics, computer generated work, drawing, fibre, glass, jewellery, metal, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, watercolour and wood. Out of more than 500 exhibitors in 2008, TOAE judges selected 45 artists to receive more than $35,000 in awards donated by individual and corporate donors. For a full list of award winners and donors, please visit our website at www.torontooutdoorart.org.

The 48th annual Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition will take place July 10, 11 & 12, 2009 on Nathan Phillips Square at Toronto City Hall.

The Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition is a charitable non-profit organization supported by a group of volunteers active in the art and corporate communities. The exhibition is financed through registration fees, and by government, corporate and individual sponsors, enabling TOAE to charge one of the lowest registration fees in North America. No percentage of the artists' sales is taken by the organizers.
